Rosetta Probes Comet to Find Source of Earth's Water

Launched in 2004, the space probe Rosetta was sent to learn if Comet 67P holds the secret of seeding water on Earth. Evolutionists believe that water is crucial to the spontaneous generation of life and that such water must have come from outer space. They are hoping to find the crucial chemicals that may have made up the formation of life on Earth on the comet. (Read here)

Scientists is expecting Rosetta to chart the surface of the comet so that they can send a landing probe in November this year towards the comet. Its gravity is too weak to land and the probe will have to harpoon to anchor a landing.

The Gap Theory is wrong

In the Christian attempt to harmonize the bible with so-called science of evolution (it is a theory), a gap theory was put in place to explain away the billions of years that evolution needed. The following is a summary of the justification which we believe is incorrect.

Three States of the Earth
The Gap Theory tells us that after God first made the original earth (Gen 1:1), something cataclysmic happened to cause the earth to be in a chaotic state (Gen 1:2). God then had to restore the earth (Gen 1:3-2:3).

The Big Bang Theory for the Origin of the Universe

Please bear in mind that this is a theory for the origin of the universe. It is popularized by atheists who believe in the theory of evolution. Although Darwin's theory was an attempt to explain the origin of species (which he failed to do so in his book), this theory has been extrapolated to explain the origins before animal life.

Now, evolutionists must explain the origins of everything and it is very difficult to be coherent about it. The difficulty lies in the postulating of different theories for different aspects of the universe and life itself.

So, let us begin first to understand the big bang theory so that we can compare with Genesis 1, God's account of the origin of the universe.

MOFFET FIELD, California, Dec 6 —The most Earth-like planet ever discovered is circling a star 600 light years away, a key finding in an ongoing quest to learn if life exists beyond Earth, scientists said yesterday. 

The planet, called Kepler-22b, joins a list of more than 500 planets found to orbit stars
beyond our solar system. It is the smallest and the best positioned to have liquid water on its surface —among the ingredients necessary for life on Earth. 

“We are homing in on the true Earth-sized, habitable planets,” said San Jose State University astronomer Natalie Batalha, deputy science team lead for NASA’s Kepler Space Telescope that discovered the star.

It is indeed a fallacy that scientists believe finding a liquid water surface planet will somehow prove the existence of life beyond planet Earth.
