Earthquakes, Radioactivity and Volcanoes - God's Judgment

Gen 1:31 "And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was VERY GOOD."

 

Did you ever wonder if God had made everything very good, then where did earthquakes, radioactivity, volcanoes, hurricanes, and what we call natural calamities come from?

 

We believe that God says what He means and means what He says. So when He says His creation was very good, it truly was indeed. Such natural calamities were not part of that original creation.

We believe when God destroyed the world and saved Noah and his family, the fountains of the great deep broke open.

 

Gen 7:11 "In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were ALL THE FOUNTAINS OF THE GREAT DEEP BROKEN UP, and the windows of heaven were opened."

Haeckel's Fraud Perpetuates

It is refreshing to see the fraudulent works within the scientific community being highlighted. It is unfortunate that Ernst Haeckel's illustrations of embryological stages of vertebrates published between 1868 and 1908 is still being used as proof of evolution. He wanted to convince his readers that all vertebrates share a common ancestor. His famous phrase "ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny" - our embryonic development repeats our evolutionary past - still finds its way into our biology text books even today. And this was disproved over a hundred years ago and Haeckel made an admission which was also part false.

Many may not know but Haekel's work were adopted by Nazism following his racist views. Haekel said that the Germans were members of a biologically superior community (akin to Nietzsche's 'super-man'). More about Haekel here.

Largest Land Animal Found - Behemoth!

For many Christians, when they read of the Behemoth in Job 40, they cannot imagine what animal is God referring to. They may not believe that God made dinosaurs with man. For those who believe in a literal 6-day creation of Genesis 1, accepting that God made the Behemoth on Day 6 together with the other land animals and man is taking God at His word. You do not need to explain away Job 40 to be a hippopotamus or elephant. It is a sauropod dinosaur, the biggest of its kind. It lived with Job at the time God spoke to him in the whirlwind.

Just read Job 40 carefully and you will discover its corresponding similarity with the story of discovery of this behemoth that God described there.

15¶Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
16Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
17He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
18His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
19He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.

The Discovery

Recently, Drexel University professor Ken Lacovara unveiled a new supermassive dinosaur species he discovered and unearthed with his team between 2005 and 2009 in Patagonia, south Argentina. Weighing in at nearly 65 tons, Dreadnoughtus schrani is the largest land animal ever found of calculable mass and also the most complete skeleton ever found for a dinosaur in this mass range (read here).

To put it into perspective, this behemoth is heavier than the Boeing 737. It is about a dozen African Elephants squished into one, explains Ken.

However, it may be interesting to note Ken's observation of this behemoth:

- that it does not walk much given it can eat easy with its long neck

- that it cannot support such a heavy body weight

- that once it falls over, it will not be able to get up

Luis Chiappe, director of the National History Museum of Los Angeles's Dinosaur Institute observes that this behemoth must be eating all day long to produce enough energy to mobilize such a huge body.

They appear to scoff at the design of this behemoth which baffles their human knowledge. How can God make such an animal? The behemoth is a type of sauropod, the type of dinosaur with a long neck and a long tail. Ken notes that it has an immense tail, 18 feet of muscular protrusion that can defend itself from predators. He has such large skeleton that is larger than all previously discovered fossils. He notes the rib cage, the femurs, and understands how much weight the legs must carry. In his naiviety of God, he thinks that this behemoth is flawed in design.

God has the last laugh

God must have purposedly created and designed such animals that defy man's logic. This behemoth and even the T-Rex with its short forelimbs are generally thought that they have great difficulty to get up after they fall. Look at the elephant. It gets up quite well and carries itself very well. God knows how to build such massive creatures that even man today fails to understand and appreciate. Look at the bumblebee that scientists feel is wrongly designed and should not be able to fly. But fly it does.

God's creation is to show how foolish man is and how wise and powerful God is. This discovery is yet another point to give glory to God.

ISIS Challenge to the World

In a span of a few months, ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) has caused a massive upheaval around the world with their fast paced attack which is ruthless and criminally horrible. Backed by a large number of non-Arab fighters who came from all over the world, they have quickly established their might and presence in their Islamic style of fighting. First, under the guise of defending hapless Syrians against President Assad and suddenly the next in taking over large portions of Iraq and declaring a Caliphate.

The western world is appalled at their brutality of killing the men, raping the women and beheading anyone who stands in their way. In recent times, the public beheading of western captives who are innocent civilians and provoking anger of the western world. Finally, they get together to participate in a US-led bombardment of ISIS positions in Iraq and now in Syria. On the ground, the Iraqis and Kurds are regaining their territory but this is not enough. The only reason the western world is keen to stamp out ISIS is to prevent these foreigners from engaging in similar attacks back in their home countries, if they still have home countries to return to.

Rosetta Probes Comet to Find Source of Earth's Water

Launched in 2004, the space probe Rosetta was sent to learn if Comet 67P holds the secret of seeding water on Earth. Evolutionists believe that water is crucial to the spontaneous generation of life and that such water must have come from outer space. They are hoping to find the crucial chemicals that may have made up the formation of life on Earth on the comet. (Read here)

Scientists is expecting Rosetta to chart the surface of the comet so that they can send a landing probe in November this year towards the comet. Its gravity is too weak to land and the probe will have to harpoon to anchor a landing.

Iran Remains On Course Of Nuclear Plan

Many Western leaders are duped to think that the new Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani, is any better than the previous President Ahmadinejad. Iran will never give up their nuclear goal and any hint of brokering a halt to Iran arming themselves with a nuclear weapon are lies.

The Iranian leaders from the Ayatollah to the President to the main Islamic sect are from the Shia school and opposes the Suni school which forms the 85% of the Islamic believers. They believe in the last Imam (12th) and is called the Mahdi, the Islamic version of the "Messiah". Their nuclear goal is to cause a conflagration to usher in the Mahdi and it is religious in nature. They believe this conflagration can be started by a nuclear attack on Israel.

The Sixth Day - Part 3

Genesis 1

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

When God made this world, He made it with intelligence and wisdom. He first prepared the environment and then created the life to enjoy the environment. Finally, He made Man, male and female, to take charge over all the earth.

In the original creation, Man was created for a diet of fruits and herb (vegetables) (v29). In short, Man is intended to be a real vegetarian in the absolute sense. And in the wisdom of God, all the herb and fruit He created is sufficient to ensure the health of Man.

The Sixth Day - Part 2

Genesis 1

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

In this second part of Day 6, we learn how God created man and the purpose of man on earth.

Let Us
God expresses Himself here in the plural form. Man is created in God's image. The plural form expressed here cannot refer to angels as Man is not created in the image of angels who are also created beings. If God is talking amongst Himself, this can only refer to the reality of the Trinity Godhead, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The mystery of the Trinity is not regarding three Gods but ONE GOD in three persons. The Godhead is a collection of persons, each distinct and individual but always together as one.

We can already see God the Father in the acts of creation throughout the 6 days. We see God the Holy Spirit in verse 2 and implicitly all over. We see God the Son (the Word) all over the creation acts as God said and it was so. God in three persons are seen in this act of creating Man.

Purpose of Man
The original intent of God creating man is to have dominion over all life that God had made (v26) - the fish of the sea, the fowl of the air, the cattle, the earth and every reptilian beasts. Basically, man is to take charge of all of God's creation on earth. All living creatures are to be subservient to man.

The Sixth Day - Part 1

Genesis 1

24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

After God created the environment to sustain life on Earth, He made the sea life and winged life on the fifth day. And on the sixth day, the land life was created. Up to this time, all creation was done by God's Word - "and God said". Remember, in John 1, the Word is Jesus Christ, God the Son.

On this sixth day, all the land creatures were created. They were broadly noted as living creature from the earth. We shall take a closer look at the living creatures as described in Day 5 and Day 6 and consider that plant life created on Day 3 is different from these living creatures.

The Fifth Day

Genesis 1

20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

God had already prepared the environment to be able to sustain animal life and man in the earlier days of creation. God made light, then dry land, then plant life, then stars, sun and moon, and now the stage is set for the ultimate plan of God for life on earth.

With light, plants can make food via photosynthesis. But reproduction of plant life also requires insects, birds and animals. This is called symbiosis. You cannot have one without the other else both will not survive. Millions of years of evolution will never work. And in turn, plant life is also food for all birds, fishes, animals and man.
