Iran Remains On Course Of Nuclear Plan

Many Western leaders are duped to think that the new Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani, is any better than the previous President Ahmadinejad. Iran will never give up their nuclear goal and any hint of brokering a halt to Iran arming themselves with a nuclear weapon are lies.

The Iranian leaders from the Ayatollah to the President to the main Islamic sect are from the Shia school and opposes the Suni school which forms the 85% of the Islamic believers. They believe in the last Imam (12th) and is called the Mahdi, the Islamic version of the "Messiah". Their nuclear goal is to cause a conflagration to usher in the Mahdi and it is religious in nature. They believe this conflagration can be started by a nuclear attack on Israel.

The Sixth Day - Part 3

Genesis 1

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

When God made this world, He made it with intelligence and wisdom. He first prepared the environment and then created the life to enjoy the environment. Finally, He made Man, male and female, to take charge over all the earth.

In the original creation, Man was created for a diet of fruits and herb (vegetables) (v29). In short, Man is intended to be a real vegetarian in the absolute sense. And in the wisdom of God, all the herb and fruit He created is sufficient to ensure the health of Man.

The Sixth Day - Part 2

Genesis 1

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

In this second part of Day 6, we learn how God created man and the purpose of man on earth.

Let Us
God expresses Himself here in the plural form. Man is created in God's image. The plural form expressed here cannot refer to angels as Man is not created in the image of angels who are also created beings. If God is talking amongst Himself, this can only refer to the reality of the Trinity Godhead, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The mystery of the Trinity is not regarding three Gods but ONE GOD in three persons. The Godhead is a collection of persons, each distinct and individual but always together as one.

We can already see God the Father in the acts of creation throughout the 6 days. We see God the Holy Spirit in verse 2 and implicitly all over. We see God the Son (the Word) all over the creation acts as God said and it was so. God in three persons are seen in this act of creating Man.

Purpose of Man
The original intent of God creating man is to have dominion over all life that God had made (v26) - the fish of the sea, the fowl of the air, the cattle, the earth and every reptilian beasts. Basically, man is to take charge of all of God's creation on earth. All living creatures are to be subservient to man.

The Sixth Day - Part 1

Genesis 1

24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

After God created the environment to sustain life on Earth, He made the sea life and winged life on the fifth day. And on the sixth day, the land life was created. Up to this time, all creation was done by God's Word - "and God said". Remember, in John 1, the Word is Jesus Christ, God the Son.

On this sixth day, all the land creatures were created. They were broadly noted as living creature from the earth. We shall take a closer look at the living creatures as described in Day 5 and Day 6 and consider that plant life created on Day 3 is different from these living creatures.

The Fifth Day

Genesis 1

20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

God had already prepared the environment to be able to sustain animal life and man in the earlier days of creation. God made light, then dry land, then plant life, then stars, sun and moon, and now the stage is set for the ultimate plan of God for life on earth.

With light, plants can make food via photosynthesis. But reproduction of plant life also requires insects, birds and animals. This is called symbiosis. You cannot have one without the other else both will not survive. Millions of years of evolution will never work. And in turn, plant life is also food for all birds, fishes, animals and man.

The Fourth Day

Genesis 1

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

God creates the heavenly bodies on the fourth day and they are identified as lights in the sky. These lights or starts have their own functions as God has ordained in His creation pattern. They are for:

  • signs - indicators of events and messages
  • seasons - indicators of appointed times for earthly purposes like farming, travelling, birth, death, etc.
  • days - separator of days in addition to the evening and morning rotation of the earth
  • years - indicator of counting years
Then the purpose of the sun (the greater light) and the moon (the lesser light) for lighting the day and night.

Ezekiel 38 & 39: The Russian Confederation of Islamic Nations?

God has told us about 2,500 years ago that there will be a time when Israel dwells in peace and is very rich. There will come a time when Russia forms a confederation of Islamic nations and they will come upon Israel for the plunder. God also alludes to something akin to a nuclear fallout as a result of this war. And it is clear to us that the Israeli Defense Forces are not involved. It is God who will step in to destroy the attacking armies. Strict instructions are given to Israel on the clean up that will take 7 months and only specific people can act on the clean up job. The prophecy is that specific.

That, in a nutshell, is what Ezekiel 38 and 39 is all about. This is a prophecy of a war that has yet to happen. And we believe that it is different from the Psalm 83 war and will take place after that war. Exactly when, we are not certain. It can be prior to the Rapture or sometime after the Rapture but it is after Israel clearly establishes its wealth for the world to see.

After the Psalm 83 war, the resulting Israel geography is believed to become bigger than it is today. Israel will possibly occupy extended land into Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Lebanon. This larger land may resemble closer to the geography of the Promised Land at the time of David. Again, remember, we are speculating as these wars have not yet happened. But clearly the stage is being set even now.

Out-of-Place Fossils

This posting is one of a series of articles to enlighten you to appreciate how to interpret the same data and evidence that evolutionists look at but from a biblical perspective. Creationists and Evolutionists all look at the same data but interpret using different perspectives.

The evidence is very compatible and consistent with what God says in Genesis. You will be amazed with the following article. We have added the latest pictures to assist you in the reading and understanding the issues.

Enter the Dragon

A recent discovery of nearly complete skull along with several neck vertebrae of the Dracorex was discovered in the Hell Creek formation in Northwest South Dakota, USA in May 2003 and subsequently donated to The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. The Children’s Museum referred to it as “a new type of dinosaur” that is “66-million-years-old” and “looks like a dragon”. The Children’s Museum displayed a placard next to a Dracorex image that read: “When we saw this creature’s head, we weren’t sure what kind of dinosaur it was. Its spiky horns, bumps and long muzzle looked more like a dragon”.

Dinosaurs in the Bible

How is it that the word "dinosaur" never appears in the Bible? We know for certain that dinosaurs existed in the past from the fossil records that have been excavated all over the world. How do we reconcile dinosaurs with the Bible?

Who wrote Genesis?

Why is this a question to even ask?

The reason is that liberal German scholars have attempted to show that Genesis is not written by Moses and deliberated the various authorship according to the so-called styles by J (Jehovah/Yahwist) Text, E (Elohist) Text and P (Priestly) Text to explain the apparent variants they identified. This has caused great anxiety to many fundamental Christians as these German scholars tried to allude to the point that Genesis has been written and/or edited over many generations.

However, let us not lose heart. Modern scholarship does not negate the authority of Jesus Christ and the Bible. God has said it, we must believe it. Not blindly but factually.

To cut to the chase and save you hours of research and anguish in deciphering the Germanic scholarship, let us understand from the following passage first.

Luke 24:27 & 44

27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Jesus had no problems with according the authorship of Genesis to Moses (v27). In fact, Jesus ascribes the entire Torah or the Law to Moses (44). He did not complicate the scholarship of the text and shows us what God attest to - the Scriptures attest to Jesus must be fulfilled.

Now, if you do not believe what Jesus says, there is a much bigger problem than the scholarship of Genesis.

Suffice to say that since Jesus has no problem with Moses as the author of the Pentateuch, the first five books of the Old Testament, neither have we.

However, to satisfy the curiousity in our minds about the authorship of Genesis and to reaffirm our faith that it is Moses who wrote or compile it, we reproduce an excerpt of an excellent treatise on this matter by a faithful servant of Jesus Christ.

An Excerpt from "Who Wrote Genesis" by Henry M Morris pp25 - 30.

Prophecy on the Total Destruction of Damascus - Isaiah 17

Isaiah 17
1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
This is a very clear prophecy of Damascus that has yet to happen. It refers to Damascus being a ruinous heap. God declares that Damascus will be completely destroyed. Although it has been captured many times by many peoples, it has never ceased from its existence.

Damascus is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world. It has a present population of 1,711,000 (2009 est). It was first mentioned in the Bible in Genesis 14:15 in the War of the Kings where Abraham led a successful rescue of Lot who was captured when dwelling in Sodom.

Can we reconcile the Evolution Theory to Genesis 1?

Evolutionists will have to attempt to explain beyond Darwin's Theory of Evolution. They have to start from the very beginning of time, space and matter to explain how the universe began, how the stars and galaxies were formed, how the solar system started, how the earth and moon formed and then how life began the complex forms we now have here.

Since the 19th century, atheists have latched on the Theory of Evolution to explain the origins of everything without the need of God. As so-called science claims evidence of evolution, it challenged Christians to rethink Genesis 1 to explain in light of these so-called evidences. Evolutionists have claimed that "science" clearly proves from geology, anthropology, biology and cosmology that the origins of everything can be seen.

But is that true? Unfortunately, many Christians are not equipped to defend Genesis and have embedded evolution thinking into interpreting Genesis. The question we are asking today is this - can we reconcile the Evolution Theory to Genesis?

The Beginning

We believe that "in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth" Gen 1:1. Summed up neatly in this verse is the origin of time (beginning - of creation, not of time itself), space (heaven) and matter (earth). God tells us that everything in this world is created by Him. We can see the intelligent design of this world and the designer is God. He told us so.

From the Big Bang Theory, nobody yet can explain what exploded, when it exploded and where it exploded. All they can tell us is that in the beginning (by faith), all energy and matter was squished into a small dot (by faith) and suddenly it exploded giving time, space and matter in that split second. Further to this, they will not be able to explain the origin of the natural laws like gravity, thermodynamics, etc. All of these must come into being else it cannot exist.

Psalm 83 - The End of the Palestinian Israeli Conflict?

We believe that the Psalm 83 prophecy is at hand. It is within our generation. Current news are shaping up for its fulfillment. As we approach the application of this prophecy to current news, we must be mindful not to be dogmatic to the application. We can be dogmatic to the doctrines but not how it is applied to a yet to be fulfilled prophecy.

As bible prophecy students, we must be aware that God is setting the stage for this Psalm to be fulfilled, more so in our days than any other previous period. Again, we must be duly reminded that we cannot be sure of everything and we must speculate on how God is working but yet guided by His prophecy that must be fulfilled literally as He says.

Psalm 83 was written 3,000 years ago but we believe that although as a national lament psalm, it has never been a time of its applicability like today. Let us take a closer look and we can see why the fulfillment of prophecy is at hand.

Hermeneutics - Your method of interpretation matters

Biblical hermeneutics is the study of the principles of interpretation concerning the books of the Bible. It is the science of interpretation rather than the art of it. How you interpret the bible will bring you to different meanings in your study of God's word. The world of higher learning has made this way to complex for Christians to appreciate and God does not need us to be a theologian to understand His word.

He has promised us the Spirit of Truth to guide us into all truth. His word is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that we might be prepared for good works.

In studying prophecy or creation science, it is not different. Our method of interpretation matters a lot to our doctrines and hence, our faith.

Latest News To Watch

1.  Recently, Israel's Tamar field which came online in March with an estimated 10 trillion cubic feet (tcf) of gas, can meet the nation's needs for decades. The nearby Leviathan field, which is expected to begin production in 2016, is estimated to hold 19 tcf. Some Israeli leaders are now mooting a country stance of "gas for peace" strategy, offering its energy resources to neighbors at discounted prices to cement peace ties. The Third Day

Genesis 1:9-13

And God said, “Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so.
10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called He Seas; and God saw that it was good.
11 And God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth”; and it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind; and God saw that it was good.
13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

Dry Land
Remember that at the beginning of creation in verses 2 and 3 that the entire Earth was covered with water, deep water in fact. That means that there is no dry land and whatever solid land was in existence at the time will be submerged under the water.

On the third day, God said to gather the waters into one place and allow the dry land to appear. The world that then was is a single continent surrounded by water, given the description of the creation act of God here.

At the same time, God named the dry land Earth and the waters the Seas (plural to denote the wide expanse). And God liked what He saw and called it good.

But did you know that as the tectonic plate action caused the continent or dry land to be pushed up above the water level, we read that the Earth also has a foundation that is fastened, probably to the layer below the crust.

The 2nd Re-Gathering of Israel

The Diaspora or Dispersion of Israel began in 70AD with the destruction of Jerusalem by General Titus. This event was in fulfillment of prophecy given by Jesus on the Olivet Discourse, a confidential briefing to His inner circle apostles comprising of Peter, Andrew, James and John as recorded in Mathew 24.

This time around, the Jews were scattered across the farthest seas all the way to Russia and all across Europe. Not forgetting that in the events of the Captivity of Israel by the Assyrians and Babylonians, there were already Jews in present day Iraq and Iran and most of them did not return to Jerusalem in the 1st Gathering of Israel but rather tried to assimilate into the culture of the land of the captors.

It was no different in the dispersion of Israel. They tried very hard to assimilate into the way and life of the European nations but somehow they just cannot make it stick. As much as they had wanted to be an Austrian, a Polish, a Russian, etc, their Jewish nature and background just did not allow them to be one of the Europeans. And it was probably God's providence that He was watching them and not let the Jews be lost forever.

In the 2nd Gathering of Israel, it is in fulfillment of a number of passages of Scripture. Amongst the few key ones is Ezekiel 37 of the Vision in the Valley of Dry Bones.

What about Ishmael?

Although Abraham and Sarah sought their own way of bringing about their descendant through Hagar, a bondwoman of Sarah, this had displeased God but yet God in His mercy did not forget Hagar and her son, Ishmael. God remembered His covenant with Abraham that through him shall blessings be brought forth to all.

Ishmael was not the intended descendant of Abraham that God had promised. As he and his mother wandered in the wilderness, God heard her cries and bestowed blessings upon Ishmael recorded below.

Genesis 17:20
20And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

God blesses Ishmael to have 12 princes similar to Jacob. God blesses Ishmael to have a great nation similar to Jacob. Furthermore, the descendants of Ishmael will be very fruitful and many. This seems to imply that Ishmael will have a much bigger number of descendants than Jacob.

Genesis 16:12
12And he will be a wild man [wild ass man]; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

The character of Ishmael and his descendants seems to depict them to be restless and always fighting everybody. They will continuously live amongst the Israelites.

Genesis 21:13,18
3And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.
18Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

Again, the comfort of God's blessings upon Hagar being the mother of a great nation. Her son, Ishmael, is bestowed God's appointment to be a great nation.

The Second Day

Gen 1:And God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”
And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so.
And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

On this day, God made the firmament. This word is H7549 רקיע (râqîya‛ raw-kee'-ah. From H7554; properly an expanse, that is, the firmament or (apparently) visible arch of the sky: - firmament.) according to Strong's Concordance.

Remember that the entire earth was covered with water at this point and God calls it the deep (v2). God here divided the waters in such a way that there is a firmament or an expanse of a sky in between the waters.

Some Christians believe that the waters above is really at the edge of the universe separating us from God's throne. They take the firmament of the heaven described in v14 to be the same firmament here.

The First Day

Gen 1:And God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Observe that the act of creation from here on until the creation of man is spoken by God. And God said...

God did not lift a finger to create the world. He spoke it into place. It was God said.
"that by the Word of God the heavens were of old" 2 Pet 3:5
"In the beginning was the Word...All things were made by Him" John 1:1-3
God created light and there was light. God says what He means and means what He says. And all He says comes to pass.
Strangely, why did God have to create light? In 1 John 1:5 tells us that "God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all." So, what did God actually do here? It is most plausible that God made visible light that we can see. Up until now, we are told that "darkness was upon the face of the deep". We cannot see what is really happening except what God tells us that His Spirit "moved upon the face of the waters".

The Gap Theory is wrong

In the Christian attempt to harmonize the bible with so-called science of evolution (it is a theory), a gap theory was put in place to explain away the billions of years that evolution needed. The following is a summary of the justification which we believe is incorrect.

Three States of the Earth
The Gap Theory tells us that after God first made the original earth (Gen 1:1), something cataclysmic happened to cause the earth to be in a chaotic state (Gen 1:2). God then had to restore the earth (Gen 1:3-2:3).

In the beginning God

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

God is very clear in telling us the following:
a) who caused the creation - God Himself
b) creation of time - beginning of creation (some believe that time always existed)
c) creation of space - heaven
d) creation of matter - earth

God refutes the big bang theory right from the very first verse of the bible. It is not some unknown ancient energy that caused the origin of the universe. It is God Himself who created everything from nothing.

The Big Bang Theory for the Origin of the Universe

Please bear in mind that this is a theory for the origin of the universe. It is popularized by atheists who believe in the theory of evolution. Although Darwin's theory was an attempt to explain the origin of species (which he failed to do so in his book), this theory has been extrapolated to explain the origins before animal life.

Now, evolutionists must explain the origins of everything and it is very difficult to be coherent about it. The difficulty lies in the postulating of different theories for different aspects of the universe and life itself.

So, let us begin first to understand the big bang theory so that we can compare with Genesis 1, God's account of the origin of the universe.

Early Civilization in Genesis 4

Man was not created stupid. Man was not created uncivilized. On the contrary, man was created very smart, intelligent and very civilized. When God created Adam from the dust of the ground and breathed into him the breath of life, Adam can speak, name the animals, get married all in a single day. He lived a very long life of 930 years with such a high IQ.

But sin spoiled all these beautiful works of God in man. Nevertheless, such IQ in man was passed down to the next generation and the next generation. They were still very smart. Given the discovery of their intelligence, many people just cannot accept this as it goes against the theory of evolution that man started as dumb and now is the smartest.

The bible is the only book that can tell us how early man was and where they came from and what they did. Many of the knowledge of man like engineering, domestication of animals, music, metallurgy, were not evolved or discovered by chance. Somehow they knew and this knowledge must have come from God, either directly or through Adam. Also notice that they all spoke the same language and it did not evolve from grunts and groans.

Faith Foundations in Genesis

As you open to your bibles to Genesis chapters 1 through 4, you should soon realize that many of our church doctrines find their basis right here. God tells us what happened at the beginning of creation and the history of mankind. Understanding this should make us want to study Genesis even more. This is a brief list of 43 items.
  1. God is our Creator - Gen 1:1, 26-27
  2. God made us vegetarians - Gen 1:29-30
  3. God made everything in 6 days - Gen 1:31, Ex 20:11
  4. Everything God made then was VERY GOOD - Gen 1:31
  5. God instituted the sabbath on the 7th day - Gen 2:3, Ex 20:8-11
  6. God made man a living soul, different from animals, in His own image - Gen 2:7
  7. God planted a garden and placed man there - Gen 2:8
  8. There were 2 special trees in the garden to test man - Gen 2:9
  9. God gave man clear instructions, man can understand what God said - gift of language - Gen 2:16-17

20 Logic Errors used by Evolutionists

This is based off a presentation by Mike Riddle, a Creation Science speaker and attached to Ken Ham's Answers in Genesis organization. You can download his presentation in MP3 format here.

These are 20 Logic errors used by evolutionists when discussing origins. See if you can detect them when you have a chance to speak with your friends, teachers and professors.

1. Fuzzy Words
Evolutionists seemingly always use such words like

  • We believe, we think.
  • Given enough time, it will happen
  • Might work .
  • Must have formed “Those life forms must have evolved in the absence of oxygen,…”
  • Could possibly have been.
  • My guess is.

Seems like the use of “fuzzy words” demonstrates that evolutionists do not have the evidence to support their claims.

The Captivity of Israel

While the children of Israel was enjoying the land, they eventually forgot the Mosaic Covenant for the usage of that very land. Then came the time when God had to take them out of the land in fulfilment of His promise. That period of time is known as The Captivity when they were to be ruled by other kings away from the Promised Land.

The Reason for the Captivity

Yahweh gave to Moses specific instructions on the usage of the land.

The Sabbath Year

Lev 25 And the Lord spoke unto Moses on Mount Sinai, saying,
“Speak unto the children of Israel and say unto them: ‘When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the Lord.
Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard and gather in the fruit thereof,
but in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the Lord; thou shalt neither sow thy field nor prune thy vineyard.

This is with reference to a 7 year period where the 7th year shall be a sabbath of rest for the land.

The 2 Covenants on the Promised Land

There are actually two covenant that God made regarding the Promised Land. If we can understand this, then we can see how God is working to bring the Jews back to the Land.

The first is commonly called the Abrahamic Covenant because it was made with Abraham to give him the land.

The second is commonly called the Mosaic Covenant because it was revealed by Moses before the Israelites entered Canaan to possess the land.

1.  Abrahamic Covenant

This is known as the Land Title Covenant and is in perpetuity. God made this covenant without any conditions. God blessed Abraham and his descendants unconditionally according the land to them. This was made around 2000 BC. Refer to Gen 15:18-21.

2.  Mosaic Covenant

This is known as the Land Use Covenant and is conditional. It has conditions attached to possessing and using the land and if broken, they can be dispossessed and cursed. Refer to Deut 28 to 30.

Some believe that once dispossessed that Israel will never regain the land. This is incorrect as the Land Title is in perpetuity. The Mosaic Covenant refers to the terms and conditions when they can enjoy the land.

Consider this example. A father is giving a car to his son.

The Promised Land

We must begin in the book of Genesis. After all, Genesis is the book of beginnings. We read in Chapter 12 of the calling of Abraham out of the land of Ur to Canaan, the land that God showed him.

12 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, “Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will show thee.
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee; and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

Abraham took a long and arduous journey from Ur in what is today's Iraq to the promised land which is in today's Israel. In this passage, we read of God not only taking him to a new land but promised to make of Abraham a great nation that through him, the world will be blessed by God.

Not only did God take Abraham to a new land, God made a covenant with Abraham to define the land that was given to him and his descendants.

1st Coming of Jesus Christ - Prophecies Fulfilled

We are all very familiar with the bible verses regarding the 1st coming of Jesus Christ. We are duly reminded in the Christmas and Easter messages how Jesus is the one who has fulfilled all the Scripture regarding himself as spoken in the Old Testament.

Some has counted up to 333 verses of the Old Testament that Jesus himself has fulfilled. This defies probability statistics. This fulfilment only points to God working in bringing His plan to our reality through His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha-Mashiach.

Here is a partial list of fulfilled prophecies by Jesus.

What is Bible Prophecy?

It is very important to be very clear regarding bible prophecy. We are not talking about future predictions. Man can make predictions. God will give us prophecies.

Are we splitting hairs here? Prediction, although dictionaries include prophecy as part of its definition, carries the connotation of a forecasting, foretelling but with possibility of error and generally has the implication of guesswork. A fortune teller predicts. A weatherman predicts. An economist predicts. A prophet of God prophesies. God gives us prophecies.

In simple terms, prophecy is really history yet to happen. Which also tells us that history is prophecy fulfilled when it is already come to pass what was spoken by God.
